Wolseley have recently relaunched their website. One of the areas we really like is the Investment case section. It includes an excellent in-depth strategy video of the CEO and CFO talking about how they have turned the business round and where they are now taking it. It is detailed, authentic and convincing. The Investment case section is also well structured in 4 tabs:
- our industry – providing the characteristics for the market they operate in, e.g. what’s important
- our markets – explaining the key drivers for growth in each area (including sources of information)
- our business – illustrated with charts / KPIs, the company’s current position and growth opportunities
- our strategy – this builds on the information in the other tabs and itself sub-divides into Overview, Resource allocation, Operating efficiencies and Performance. Each of the three detailed pages is illustrated with charts, facts and case studies or videos
In all the section is powerful because it gives good detail, provides good visibility of the CEO and CFO, and is easy to engage with because of the level of illustration and use of video.
