It is common now for companies to have a Twitter page. Some even promote Twitter accounts from their CEO or other Board members.
Less commonly seen are employee Twitter accounts linked into the corporate site, possibly due to the possible PR problems it could cause.
However, GE has 12 employee Twitter accounts shown on the corporate site, including managers, designers, engineers, marketers and business analysts.
We like this because it gives an insight into the people who work for the company and adds a human element to the brand and the website. It also provides an impression of openness about the company and a trust in its employees.
